Brooke Green is excited to be joining the GSE to Argentina this May, and most importantly excited to represent both Idaho and Rotary on this once in a lifetime opportunity. Brooke currently work as the District 3 Mobility Manager (serving Canyon, Ada, Gem, Elmore, Owyhee, Washington, Payette, Idaho, Valley, Boise, and Adams Counties). She began my career working within the non-profit community most notably in marketing, public relations and community outreach. She has spent a large portion of her career working with local community leaders/businesses and stakeholders in improving quality of life for girls within a local non-profit. As she transitioned within her field her my passion to work for vulnerable populations continued to steer her career path. She has always gravitated toward volunteerism and non-profits and her internal passion for disability awareness took her to working within the transportation community, in her previous position as the Project Director for the AmeriCorps Accessible Transportation Grant within the State Independent Living Council.
Recognizing the barriers that keep many Idahoans from appreciating all that Idaho has to offer has steered her desire to work with CTAI. She truly enjoys my career and love working with the community leaders, stakeholders and organization as she continues to educate about the need for improved transportation that will allow for the independent lifestyle that all Idahoans deserve.
Her educational background includes BA in Communication and BAS in Marketing Management from Boise State University and she is currently working towards an MBA from Northwest Nazarene University, she has dabbled in mediation and conflict resolution. Brooke is active in community organizations including Leadership Boise (2009-2011), current Chair-elect for Boise Young Professionals, current Communication Board chair with Women in Transportation and current Transportation Chair with Area Agency on Aging and an active volunteer with Youth for Understanding. Brooke was honored to be recognized as one of the Idaho Business Review’s 40 under 40, class of 2010. She is an outdoor enthusiast an avid golfer, snowboarder and enjoys competing in both Sprint and Olympic triathlons.
Brooke and her husband Jeremy Byington and our two dogs say they’re very lucky to live in a vibrant city like Boise and they look forward to contributing to the continued growth of their community and the state of Idaho.
Have a great trip. I know you will enjoy yourself.
